Dr. Brian Quinn - Profile
Environmental toxicologist and ecotoxicologist with a broad interest in marine and freshwater environments and a long standing passion for marine ecology. Extensive research in the interaction between aquatic animals and environmental stressors, including work carried out in the areas of endocrine disruption, invertebrate tissue culture, bioassay development, freshwater & marine ecology, environmental chemistry, biomarker development and environmental diagnostics. Currently Principle Investigator and Director of ICET.
Qualifications
2002 PhD in Environmental Toxicology, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland
1997 B.Sc. (Hons.) II.I. Marine & Environmental Biology, St. Andrews University, Scotland.

- 2008-present: Principle Investigator on EPA DERP project, Director of Irish Centre for Environmental Toxicology (ICET), Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, Ireland
- 2007: Research Associate, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland
- 2004-2007: Managing Director, Fairways Hotel, Dundalk, Co. Louth, Ireland
- 2003-2004: Postdoctoral Research Fellow (NSERC) St. Lawrence Centre, Environment Canada, Montreal, Canada
